The script:
You have a 550 credit score right now Mr. Jones, which is not good, and that is impeding you from getting the interest rate you want. You could apply at 100 mortgage companies and they all would tell you the same: YOUR CREDIT! But, I can still help you out. We work with a company that can repair and improve your credit score by removing negative items. Most of their clients will see 9-12 negative items removed in the first 90 days. When they boost your credit up, we can get you into a better situation saving you about $400-600 dollars a month.
The analyst:
Explain that because of their credit they are not qualifying for the mortgage they want. Perhaps they would be a good fit for a debt consolidation loan? Discuss with them about going with the loan now and refinancing into a better loan once they fix their credit in the future.
